Day 1: Arrival – Meet and Greet at Kilimanjaro Int’l Airport

Once you arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Regional Airport (ARK), one of our safari representatives will be there to welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha. Once at the hotel, he’ll assist with check-in formalities and go over the details of your safari, answering any questions you may have.

After that, the evening is yours to relax and settle in at your own pace.Ideally sandwiched between Kilimanjaro International Airport and Tanzania’s most famous safari circuit parks, including the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater, Arusha is the perfect stopover to unwind and take in the tranquility of your hotel.

Meals: Dinner, Breakfast, and Lunch
Accommodation: Lodge/ Hotel

After a hearty breakfast at your hotel, you will hop in a customized safari vehicle and be transferred to the phenomenal Tarangire National Park with your packed lunch. Renowned for its ancient baobab trees, massive elephant herds and quality predator sightings, it’s not hard to appreciate Tarangire as a popular stage in Tanzania’s Northern Safari Circuit.

Boasting over 550 avian species – the highest number of breeding species found in a single habitat anywhere in the world – Tarangire commands attention from avid bird-watchers. Notable sightings include the Kori Bustard, the world’s heaviest flying bird, and the yellow-collared lovebird.

The Tarangire River, often considered the park’s lifeline, flows through the landscape, drawing a diverse array of wildlife, including Thomson’s gazelle, wildebeest, fringe-eared oryx, long-necked gerenuk, giraffe, buffalo, and elephants. This is especially true during the dry season between June and October when the relentless sun drains moisture from the land, turning the earth a dusty red and leaving the brittle grass as fragile as straw.

In the afternoon, you retreat to a designated picnic area for lunch, and continue your game drive. Leave Tarangire in the early evening for Mto wa Mbu where you’ll check-in at your lodge for a relaxing evening and dinner.

Meals: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner.
Accommodation: Lodge/ Tented Camp

Following an early morning breakfast at the lodge, you leave for Lake Manyara National Park with your packed lunch, arriving with plenty of time for game-viewing drive till afternoon.Famous for its tree-climbing lions and seasonal flocks of flamingos that turn the lake pink, Lake Manyara sits at the foot of the Great Rift Valley escarpment.

Though it spans 330km², much of it submerged by water, yet the park remains wildly beautiful, game-rich, and incredibly rewarding. Buffalo, zebra, elephant, giraffe, wildebeest often become the highlight of the park, offering incredible game-viewing opportunities.

Venture further, and you’ll find over 400 bird species, including White-rumped Swift, Kori Bustard, Little Ringed Plover, and many birds of prey. After lunch inside the park, you visit a Maasai village for a firsthand look in their culture before heading to your lodge in the Ngorongoro Highlands for dinner and overnight.

Accommodation: Lodge/Tented Camp

Today marks the last day of your safari adventure, busy, but fun, and unforgettable as you venture out to the Ngorongoro Crater before leaving for Arusha to catch your onward flights. After an early breakfast at the lodge, you will drive to the fascinating wildlife arena of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area – the Ngorongoro Crater.

Covering a staggering 260km2 (100 miles2) and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest free-standing intact volcanic caldera. Formed 2–3 million years ago when a massive volcano erupted and collapsed on itself, it is often referred to as “Africa’s Eden” per excellence due to its wildlife abundance.

What makes this natural amphitheater truly unique is that nearly all its wildlife resides permanently within the crater walls, allowing exceptional game-viewing opportunities. Here, the chance to spot a vast array of animals, including the famous African ‘Big Five’ – elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, and rhino – is almost a guarantee.Following an unforgettable game drive in Ngorongoro, you will drive back to your hotel in Arusha, or Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flights.
